[Tinkerbal-2013] TinkerBal starts tomorrow - important things to know!

Hey there TinkerBal attendees!  We’re so excited to see you all so 
soon!

Registration and Evening Dances

Things kick off at the Friday night dance.  We’ll have a TinkerBal 
representative just beyond the BSC admission table, so tell the BSC 
folks you’re with TinkerBal and they’ll send you to us to check in.   
You can also check in on Saturday morning before the workshops, starting 
at 11:30.

Wear your button at the dances – not only is it your admission, but it 
will help you find other Bal dancers!  On Saturday night, wear your 
button to the dance and give your name to the folks at the admission 
table so they can check you in.

Parking

Important note about parking on Saturday:  DO NOT PARK directly in 
front of the venue in spots marked RAYBERN!  Raybern is open for 
business on Saturday and needs those spots!  Instead, please park either 
around the back of the venue or across Roland St in front of the beige 
walls as long as you do not block any doors or docks.  To get around 
back, drive past our venue and go through the chain-link gate and around 
the building.  Check BSC’s website for parking info, but remember their 
instructions are for nighttime dances, and our workshops are during the 
day when more restrictions apply.

Lunches

Important note about lunches:  There’s lots of good options if you 
drive 2 minutes to Union Square, but very few in walking distance.  Last 
year many people went to Tavern at the End of the World for lunch during 
the 45-minute break, which is great because the Tavern has yummy food, 
but the kitchen got totally overwhelmed by the rush and made people late 
for class.  This year, we’ve made arrangements with them ahead of time 
to help avoid this delay – so if you want to get lunch from Tavern, put 
your order in on the handy form we’ll have when you register, and get 
your form to July at the first break (by 1:15pm).  We’ll get the orders 
to Tavern ahead of time, and then you can pick up your order to-go or 
sit down at the Tavern to eat during the main 2:15-3pm break.
